1. Why do you work with Umuntu and what is your personal motivation?
Umuntu works in a variety of sectors such as drinking water, education, environment etc. which is very important in today’s world. I believe that through Umuntu I can make a contribution in different areas and make a difference in society. That is why I work with Umuntu.
2. What are the goals you want to achieve with Umuntu?
All people have the same rights to live and I wanted to bring about a positive change in society. Our goal is therefore to provide clean water through Umuntu and to make people live in a healthy and sustainable environment.
3. In which country and which region do we help you?
Our project works mainly in the districts of Pokhara (tourist destination) and Sindhupalchowk (earthquake-affected district) in Nepal.
4. who are you and what is your background?
I am Anup Khadka, 22 years old and study pharmacy. I am also country coordinator of “bye bye bye plastic bags” in Nepal. I have been working here since 2015 and am also a member of various environmental organisations.
